                                                     Evaluation of my character

Overall I am very happy how my character turned out in the time I had. I also think that I did very well to think of my characters background history was very thought through and I think if I did not have that my character would not of made much sense through the fact midget goblins do not live on earth and by explaining that my character was from a different planet added a more believable depth to my character. I also think I achieved the right colour scheme for my character because I think it matched in with my environment very well. But I do think if I had more time for this project I would redesign how my character looks because I think that a should of done a different head style for my character I think the reason I got a head shape I was not pleased with is because I should of tried different shapes of heads rather than just the one I was first happy with. I was happy with the first head I designed because of its shape and how odd the shape was I liked this because of my character being an alien in short it fit in very well but now I would want to change it to a more generic head shape rather than an unusual shape. I also think that I would change the chest to have a broader but these are the only changes I would make to my characters shape. The next thing I would add to my character is more shading to make it look more 3D.  for my prop I was very happy with how this turned out I think that it looked great and I think I got the colours spot on. I also was very pleased with how my environment turned out I think it captured my characters home very well and I though the colours of everything looked great. But if I was to change anything for my environment it would be I would add  more depth to the background of my environment to make it look more distant and I also would add a bit of shine to my environment to show the light reflecting off things.

These are my finished designs:
  • Prop
  • Character
  • Environment

i started out by drawing the outline of my character and colouring the base colour of my character.
i then started to add veins to my character by smudging a lot of different shades of blue and green together and i also added my characters face detail.
i then started to add basic shading to my characters body
i then started to add more detail to where the light would hit on the shoulder and chest and also added detail to the right hand by adding shade to try and show that its fingers are bent
i then added my characters cloth by adding a picture of a material and smudging it to get its colours all blended together i did this to make sure i kept it a way from full realism

i then added a texture to my base colour of my character to give it a more skin like look

i started my spear by drawing out how it would look and then colouring in a base colour
i then decided to change the colour of the stick because it was to close to the rocks colour
i have now added my vines that are rapped round my spear again so they are on top of the stick
i have made darker parts of the spear where it would be darker
i have added white blobs where light would hit the spear
i then added a effect to the stick to make it stand out better
i then did the same to the stone
these are the different facial expressions i designed.
